Enrolment Procedures

In order to be offered a place within the Montessori Preschool, you need to register your interest on line via our waiting list. To get onto the waitlist, you must follow the simple steps outlined on this page. Once you have arranged your own password, there are only 3 drop down boxes to fill in! Very easy!

The first drop down box asks for the parent details to be entered, the second box is about recording the child’s details and the third drop down box is called a ‘recurring booking’. This is where you indicate the date you wish to start and the combination of days you require. At this stage you submit your waitlist request!

Your application will be assessed based on availability, priority access (see priority policy) and date/time of your submission. Once assessed, a placement offer will be emailed to you to accept and at this point you are required to complete the rest of the enrolment paperwork online. Once you submit the enrolment form you will be contacted by the Centre and a Parent Information Booklet will be sent out to you.

At this point, you are required to fill out the four attachments in the parent booklet and to make an appointment with the Centre Director for an orientation. The orientation is for the family and the child to complete the enrolment paperwork, have a tour of the centre and to meet the room Educators your child has been assigned to. The orientation is usually done 1-2 weeks prior to the child’s commencement and usually takes around 30 minutes to complete.

Waitlist Request in 3 Simple Steps

Step 1

For NEW families, click on the REGISTER button on the right. You will then be taken through a registration process to create your account. For families with existing accounts, skip to step 2!

Step 2

Log into your account and tell us about you, your child and what bookings you are after so we can help you out. Remember only fill in the first three drop down boxes and submit your request at that point!

Step 3

Fill out the information in each of the boxes by clicking the X. Make sure you answer the “Recurring Booking Request” prior to uploading your details! Without this box being filled in, your waitlist request will not be generated. Once you have requested permanent bookings, we will come back to you and advise if we have a spot available for your child. If we have a spot, we will email you an offer and ask you to accept the offer and complete and submit the Enrolment form via the online portal.

Operating Hours

Montessori Preschool opening hours are from 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday, 50 weeks per annum.

Office hours are 12.00pm to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, 50 weeks per annum.

Long and Short Day Options

Long Day Option is offered for working families or those that choose this option. The long day includes our opening hours which are from 8am – 6pm.

Our Short Day option concludes at the end of the preschool daily program and is from 8am – 4pm. Parents are required to pick their child up and have left the premise by 4pm!

We offer different fees for both options, and different fees for the toddler enrolments. For up to date information on fee’s please call the Centre Director.

A 5% discount applies to families enrolling siblings in the same year.

The fee includes the provision of nutritional morning and afternoon tea, lunch and late snack in accordance with the NSW Ministry of Health guidelines – Caring for Children – Birth to 5 years (Food, Nutrition and Learning Experiences). Should your child not be toilet trained, nappies are to be supplied by the parents.

Enrolment Fees

Administration Levy: $100.00 (including GST non-refundable) covers administration of enrolment costs

Equipment Levy: $50.00 (non-refundable)

Bond: $150 (refundable to your account once your child leaves the centre) plus one week’s fees in advance. In advance fees means CCB/CCR will not apply until after the first week of your child’s attendance.

As our centre operates the preschool within a Long Day Care facility, we can offer Government Childcare Benefits and tax rebates for eligible families. You are required to provide a CRN number for both the child and parent claiming CCB/CCR. Please see the following links for additional information:

Late Fee

We are licensed until 6.00 pm. As staff are employed only until 6.00 pm, it is important out of respect for staff that children be collected by this time. If you collect your child after 6.00 pm a late fee will apply. The late fee also applies to families enrolled in the short day option(4.00pm pickup), but are late picking their child up.

Attendance

We offer the following consecutive attendance options:

  • 2 day program (Monday-Tuesday; Tuesday-Wednesday or Thursday-Friday)
  • 3 day program (Monday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Friday)
  • 5 day program (Monday – Friday)

These are our preferred options, however, we can be flexible to suit family circumstances and work commitments.

The Centre closes for 2 week each year from Christmas through to early January. Fees are not charged during this time.

Fees are payable for those days your child may be absent from the Centre for any reason including illness or holidays. Public Holidays also incur payment as usual.

The 2 day minimal program ensures consistency and a sense of belonging for children and families with staff.
